Asian Metal visits Fugu Taida

On the afternoon of December 27, 2024, Ms. Daphne Zhang, the Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited Fugu Taida Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. and had an in-depth discussion with Mr. Weifeng Wang, the Deputy General Manager, Mr. Yun Gao, the Director of the Marketing Department, Mr. Haiyun Zhang and Mr. Xing Ren, the Deputy Managers, on the supply and demand of the magnesium market in 2024 and the market supply and demand outlook in 2025. Mr. Weifeng Wang said that 2024 was an extremely difficult year for the industry and a year of great testing for magnesium industry professionals. In the past, magnesium factories were full of confidence relying on the advantages of the circular industrial chain. Now, due to the sluggish market demand caused by the economic depression, magnesium factories are under pressure from multiple parties. In the future of 2025, refined product positioning, in-depth user needs and extended industrial chain will still be the directions for production enterprises to survive.

Fugu Taida Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is a circular economy private enterprise established in December 2007, integrating power generation, coal washing, semi-coke, ferrosilicon, and magnesium production, learning, and research. The total investment of the project is about 1.4 billion yuan. The company is located in Shawa Village, Miaogoumen Town, Fugu County, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan. The company has five recycling production lines with 600,000tpy semi-coke, 1.2 million ton per year of washed coal, 600,000tpy of semi-coke, 2×25MW power generation, 2×25,000kVA furnaces of ferrosilicon, and 35,000tpy of magnesium.
