On the morning of 25 December, 2024, Ms. Daphne Zhang, the Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited Fugu Jingfu Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. and held in-depth discussions with Mr. Dong Shi, the General Manager, Mr. Wei Liu, the Sales Director, and Mr. Daoyi Zhou, the Sales Manager of the company on the global magnesium market supply and demand pattern and downstream application trends, and discussed the existing magnesium production process. Mr. Shi said that the magnesium industry has entered a period of transformation and change. After experiencing a round of pain in the industry, it will surely usher in the trend of industry application and development.

Fugu Jingfu Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in Xinyao Industrial Park, Xinmin Town, Fugu County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It has now developed into a large-scale private enterprise integrating coal-fired power, coal coke and coal chemical production, transportation and sales. The company has a 1.36 million tons/year semi-coke production line (with ancillary products of 130,000 tons of tar). The company has built supporting multi-product projects such as a coal washing plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons, a 2x15MW+1x25MW+1x0.6MW power plant, a 2*25000kVA-furnace ferrosilicon plant, and a 20,000-ton magnesium plant. The entire project forms the production of semi-coke from clean coal; the production of ferrosilicon from semi-coke; the use of coke oven gas for smelting magnesium and power generation; the use of waste heat power generation from blast furnace exhaust gas from ferrosilicon; the production of unburned bricks from magnesium slag and coke; and electricity for various production projects. Among them, the production of semi-coke, ferrosilicon, magnesium and tar has passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification. In order to further enhance the company's market competitiveness, the company will start to reuse magnesium slag and strive to create a resource-saving and environmentally friendly enterprise.
