In 2025, the global minor metals market continued to undergo structural adjustments, with prices of key metals such as indium, bismuth, germanium, and gallium showing divergent trends. Indium prices remained volatile at high levels amid supply-demand adjustments; bismuth prices entered a consolidation phase after reaching a historic high of RMB 200,000 per tonne; the germanium market experienced a healthy correction under the combined influence of policy regulation and rationalized downstream demand; while gallium production capacity continued to expand, pushing prices closer to cost levels and intensifying industry competition.   • Christian Hell graduated from the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and has a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. Since 2004, he was working for Photonic Sense as technical director. He has mainly been focused on material analytics and the Czochralski crystal growing process. After the change of ownership of the company, he became Managing Director of IV IR Optics in 2021. Since April 2026, Christian Hell has been overseeing the procurement of minor metals at TRADIUM, including gallium, germanium, and indium.
