Overview
In 2026, the global antimony market experienced significant fluctuations under the combined influence of policy adjustments, supply–demand restructuring, and the reassessment of its strategic value. China’s export control measures on antimony and related products are profoundly reshaping the global landscape, accelerating the reconfiguration of international supply chains. Meanwhile, overseas antimony resource development has picked up pace, and the widening price gap between domestic and international markets has led to a more distinct divergence in resource flows. Against the backdrop of a sluggish global economy, downstream consumption in the antimony industry faces considerable pressure. Market sentiment has shifted from “panic buying” to “wait-and-see,” with prices entering a phase of consolidation at relatively high levels.
The year 2026 marks a watershed moment for the antimony market’s transition from a “commodity logic” to a “strategic logic.” Under the combined effects of China’s strict controls, the restructuring of global supply chains, and the differentiation of demand structures, antimony is no longer merely a cyclical metal—it has emerged as a “hidden trump card” in the arena of geopolitical competition. Enterprises must not only navigate the challenges brought by policy changes but also explore new pathways toward high-quality industrial development.
Looking ahead to 2026, the global antimony market stands at a critical juncture: How will prices evolve? Will China’s export control policies undergo further adjustments? And how will the global antimony industry achieve a new balance? These questions will remain at the center of attention and discussion across the industry.
First established in 2012, the Antimony Summit hosted by Asian Metal is dedicated to become a global summit event for antimony industry. Attracting hundreds of companies around the world each year, the Summit has been successfully held in places like Bangkok, Lisbon, Madrid, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Kunming, Sanya and Zhuhai. In the twelfth year of the Summit, antimony industry elites from around the world will gather in Chengdu, China on April 9-10, 2026 to collectively explore the new era of development of antimony industry.
