Asian Metal visits Xiangxi Fengda Alloy, Jishou Longfa Trade & Commerce, Hunan Dongfang Mining, Songtao Sanhe Manganese Group, etc.

From 23 to 24 February, Elaine Zhao, electrolytic manganese market analyst of Asian Metal, successively visited Xiangxi Fengda Alloy Technology Co., Ltd., Jishou Longfa Trade & Commerce Co., Ltd., Hunan Dongfang Mining Co., Ltd., Huayuan Xingyin Manganese Co., Ltd., Songtao Sanhe Manganese Group Co., Ltd. and exchanged opinions with officials of these companies on the domestic and overseas electrolytic manganese markets.

In the morning of 23 February, Elaine Zhao visited Xiangxi Fengda Alloy Technology Co., Ltd. and was shown around the workshop of manganese lumps, manganese balls and manganese nitride by Yang Bo and Fu Yuqin, sales managers of the company. Fengda Alloy is the key enterprise integrating R&D, production and sales of manganese new materials, mainly developed 15 varieties of manganese-based alloy materials such as high-nitride manganese, manganese aluminum alloy, low-selenium forged manganese, ferromanganese in four series. Its high-nitride manganese exports account for 80-90% of the Chinese total exports, playing a dominating role.

In the afternoon of 23 February, Elaine Zhao visited Jishou Longfa Trade & Commerce Co., Ltd. and was welcomed warmly by Tian Yuan, sales director of the company. They discussed about the price trend of manganese flake; Mr. Tian pointed out that the prices showed an obvious downward trend with traders putting off purchases and transactions being scarce.

In the morning of 24 February, Elaine Zhao visited Hunan Dongfang Mining Co., Ltd. and its factories accompanied by Li Changlong, sales manager of the company. Mr. Li stated that they cut down manganese flake production with the daily output of about 70t due to tight supply of manganese ore. And they mainly made deliveries for previous orders with almost no stocks held. Hunan Dongfang Mining, as a representative manganese company, has an annual capacity of 40,000-50,000t pf manganese flakes with the daily output of 140-145t before reduction.

In the afternoon of 24 February, Elaine Zhao visited Songtao Sanhe Manganese Group Co., Ltd. and was given a warm welcome by Zhu Cheng; Chen Ronghuang, general manager assistant of the company; and Lin Weidong, sales manager of the company. Accompanied with Mr. Chen, Elaine visited the modernized production factory of the company. Songtao Sanhe began to build electrolytic manganese plant with a capacity of 50,000tpy from the latter half of 2015 and added production lines for manganese lumps and manganese balls. Now, it products are well recognized by customers from steel mills.
