    Northern Minerals visits Asian Metal

George Bauk, Managing Director and CEO of Northern Minerals Limited (“Northern Minerals” or “the company”), Bin Cai, Alternate Director, and Mark Tory, CFO and Board Secretary, came to visit Asian Metal on the morning of 4th July 2017 and had a conversation on the current rare earth market status as well as the latest development of the company’s Browns Range Project with Vivian Pang, senior analyst of the rare earth market of Asian Metal.
Vivian introduced to Northern Minerals the recent price trend of heavy rare earth and the supply and demand pattern. George expressed that SINOSTEEL MECC, the general contractor of Northern Minerals’ Browns Range Pilot Plant Project, signed a letter of intent in mid-June with Primero Group Pty Ltd., a Western Australia multidisciplinary contractor and the opening ceremony will be held on 27th July. The company will formally see output of high value-added heavy rare earth enrichment in the middle of 2018.
Northern Minerals is focused on the delivery of the heavy rare earth (HRE) element, dysprosium. Through the development of the Browns Range Project (the Project), Northern Minerals aims to be the first significant world producer of dysprosium outside of China. Browns Range Project is 160km to the Southeast of Halls Creek, West Australia, and rich in heavy rare earth elements such as dysprosium and terbium, with explored reserves of rare earth oxide of 55,663t including 4,795t of dysprosium oxide and 335t of terbium oxide.
