Asian Metal visits Japan Metals & Chemicals and Japan Showa Denko
On 1 November, 2017, Vivian Pang, the senior analyst of rare earth market from Asian Metal, visited Japan Metals & Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Japan Showa Denko Co., Ltd., and was warmly received by the two companies. Both sides made friendly exchanges on the current supply & demand situation and the future price trend of rare earth market.
On the morning of 1 November, Vivian Pang paid a visit to Japan Metals & Chemicals Co., Ltd. and was accorded a cordial reception by Hideyuki Souma, the General Manager, and Hiroyuki Kase, the Manager of Electronics Materials Group, Electronics Materials Dept., Functional Materials Division. Mr. Hiroyuki Kase introduced the current supply and demand situation of the battery market while Vivian presented the current prices and movement trend of lanthanum metal and lanthanum-cerium mixed metal. Mr. Hideyuki Souma explained that they refer to rare earth prices from Asian Metal when negotiating selling prices for battery products with customers.
On the afternoon, Vivian visited Japan Showa Denko Co., Ltd. and introduced the supply & demand situation and price trend of Chinese praseodymium-nedymium and dysprosium to Yoshiyuki Nanushigawa, the General Manager of Marketing Department, Electronics Materials Division, Masahide Utsunomiya, the Chief Manager of Development Department, Chichibu Plant, Electronics Materials Division, and Kenji Ishii, the Manager of SCM Section, Chichiubu Plant. Mr. Yoshiyuki Nanushigawa spoke highly of the objective and accurate information of Asian Metal and thanked Vivian for her visit. He also showed that he would apply to attend the 10th International Rare Earth summit.
