    Tata International Limited visits Asian Metal

    On the afternoon of July 11, 2019, Mr. Dibyendu Das, the Senior Manager of Tata International Limited visited Asian Metal, and was warmly greeted by Ms. Daphne Zhang, Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal. Both sides communicated about latest developments and future trends in the magnesium ingot market. Tata's monthly trading volumes of magnesium ingot and magnesium powder are 100t and 100t respectively, and they also have some small deals on magnesium ingot with 300g.
    Jerry Huang, the ferrosilicon analyst shared his opinion about the reason of the price increasing of Chinese ferrosilicon and his prediction about the future market. Mr. Dibyendu Das shared with Jerry Huang that he usually purchases 100tpm of ferrosilicon 65%min from North Korea.
    Kelvin Chang, the silicon metal market analyst shared his opinion about the cause of the price decreasing of Chinese silicon metal, production situation of upstream producers and preview of the market trend in the second half of this year. Mr. Dibyendu Das said that they mainly purchase silicon metal from China, and the regular monthly trading volume was around 200t.
    Alex Yuan, Analyst of manganese and selenium products, had a discussion with Mr. Das on current Chinese manganese flake market, operating rate of Chinese manganese flake producers, downstream demand and manganese flake price trend in Q3. Tata International Limited consumes about 15,000 tons of manganese flake per annum, which are all from Chinese suppliers. Mr. Das highly appreciated AM prices and promised to support Asian Metal as always.
