Asian Metal visits Shanxi Regal, Shanxi Fuhengdi

On the afternoon of 8 December in 2021, Mr. Hao Zhao, Sales Director, and Ms. Daphne Zhang, Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited Shanxi Regal Metal New Material Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Fuhengdi Metal Material Co., Ltd., and were warmly welcomed by above companies.

Daphne Zhang and Hao Zhao first visited Shanxi Regal Metal New Material Co., Ltd. and held in-depth discussions with Mr. Guoqing Yan, the General Manager of the company, regarding the current and future market trend of magnesium industry. As a years-long partner of Asian Metal, Regal has been referring to market information and prices provided by Asian Metal for pricing. Located in Wenxi county, Shanxi province, Regal is the second largest magnesium alloy producer with an annual production capacity of 70,000t and a regular monthly output of around 4,800t; the company also has a monthly output of 1,700t for magnesium ingot. With clients from automobile, 3C electronics and electric tool industries, Regal has domestic and overseas business accounting for 50% respectively. In the recent years, Regal has been devoting itself to improving production and product quality as well as expanding its footprint in the global market. So far it has set up plants in the U.S. and Europe. Regal intends to attend the 10th Magnesium Summit to be held by Asian Metal in Kunming on April 14-15, 2022.

Then Daphne Zhang and Hao Zhao visited Shanxi Fuhengdi Metal Material Co., Ltd. and exchanged ideas about the supply and demand status on magnesium ingot and the production cost of magnesium powder as well as the demand and supply for magnesium powder with Mr. Juncai Chai, General Manager, and Mr. Jin Chai, Sales Manager of the company. Fuhengdi, with clients from steel mills, chemical enterprices, and pharmaceutical companies, sells 60% of magnesium powder in domestic market and exports the rest to the overseas market. With an annual production capacity of 13,000t, Fuhengdi maintains a regular monthly magnesium powder output of about 1,000t.
