Chinese bismuth ingot export price rise further

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Sep 13 – After the short decrease in early September, Chinese bismuth ingot prices began to pick up again since last week. Chinese bismuth ingot prices also increase from USD7.8-8.0/lb FOB China in early September to USD8.1-8.3/lb FOB China in the recent several days and some transaction prices reached USD8.35/lb FOB China.
A major bismuth ingot supplier in China told Asian Metal that their prices for bismuth ingot increased slightly to RMB108,000/t (USD8.02/lb) late last week. In the export market, the source claimed that the mainstream prices rose from USD7.8/lb to USD8.1/lb last week and they also sealed some deals at USD8.2-8.3/lb.

A bismuth supplier in China, with an output of around 60tpm, claimed that their bismuth ingot prices dropped from RMB111,000/t (USD8.24/lb) in late August to RMB106,000/t (USD7.87/lb) in the first week of September and the export prices also went down from USD8.0/lb to USD7.8/lb at the time. Chinese bismuth ingot prices began to increase again last week. They sealed deals for bismuth ingot at RMB110,000/t (USD8.17/lb) in the domestic market and USD8.25-8.35/lb FOB China in the export market in the recent several days.
