BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Dec 13 – According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China produced 11,408t of tin concentrate in November, up by 2.5% month-on-month and down by 3% year-on-year.
Tin production in China rose further in November, and the demand for tin concentrate remained strong. Additionally, some mines stopped production in early October due to the National Day holiday and increased outputs last month. However, as tin concentrate prices stood at a low level and the imports advanced, Chinese production increase was limited.
Chinese production of tin concentrate was 125,764t in the first eleven months of this year, up by 6.8% compared with the volume for the same period last year.
In December, domestic demand for tin concentrate may shrink, and the production may not rise further.
