BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Jun 14 - Chinese bismuth ingot suppliers continue to raise offers as the stocks for bismuth ingot in some Asian exchanges keep increasing and the inventory on the spot market is still low. Currently, the mainstream prices for bismuth ingot are around RMB142,000-143,500/t (USD10.05-10.45/lb), an increase of RMB500/t (USD0.036/lb) against those of early last week.
A major bismuth ingot trader in China reported that they purchased some bismuth ingot at RMB141,500/t (USD10.31/lb) early last week and the price has increased to around RMB142,000-142,500/t (USD10.05-10.38/lb) in the recent several days. In the domestic market, their selling price for bismuth ingot increased slightly to RMB143,000-143,500/t (USD10.42-10.45/lb) recently. In the export market, the price kept stable at USD10.4-10.5/lb FOB China.

They sold some materials in small quantities at around RMB143,000-144,000/t (USD10.42-10.49/lb) to the downstream consumers recently, up by RMB500/t (USD0.036/lb) against the price of early last week.
“The real demand for bismuth ingot from downstream industries saw no obvious increase recently, and it was still the stockpiling in some exchanges that pushed the prices to go up further,” said the source.
