The Chinese bismuth market was very quiet in May with limited transactions and decreased prices. Some traders noted that their transaction volumes for bismuth ingot 99.99%min decreased by more than 50% in May compared with those in April as downstream consumers were reluctant to replenish stocks in mid-May. As a result, prices for bismuth ingot were under great downward pressure in the domestic market. It is expected that prices for bismuth ingot in June will be closed to the lower prices in 2015.
