Lomon announces the ninth price increase of titanium dioxide

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Aug 16 - A source from Lomon reported to Asian Metal that the company released news of new prices of titanium dioxide on 2nd Aug, the ninth price increase this year so far
“We announced the price increase on Tuesday afternoon and the new quotations are effective immediately,” said the source, noting that they have decided to raise the price by USD50/t to USD2,050/t FOB China on export market and RMB300/t (USD45/t) and RMB500/t (USD75/t) in domestic market to dealers and end users respectively in domestic market. Additionally, the source revealed that Lomon produced about 25,000 tons of titanium dioxide in July and they have managed orders of the coming two months, holding under-control stock at present.
Founded in 1985 and located in Mianzhu, Sichuan, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of titanium dioxide, Lomon is one of the most important titanium dioxide producers in China and one of the influential titanium dioxide giants all over the world. Also, as reported before, SFC has approved Billions’s acquisition of Lomon in June . Therefore, Billions, with current annual production capacity of 260,000 tons of titanium dioxide, including 60,000 tons of chloride process material, will own an annual production capacity of 560,000 tons, ranking the fourth largest titanium dioxide producer after DuPont, Huntsman and Cristal all over the world.
