Ningbo Xinfu raises titanium dioxide price significantly

A source from the company reported to Asian Metal that they raised the price of titanium dioxide by RMB1,000/t (USD150/t) and USD100/t on the domestic and export markets respectively on Wednesday and the new price policy was effective immediately. “We marked up the price to RMB13,300/t (USD1,994/t) ex works and USD1,950 on 2 Aug and have decided to increase further the quotations owing to the rather tight supply.”
According to the source, they are offering at around RMB14,300/t (USD2,143/t) ex works in the domestic market and USD2,050/t FOB China for the overseas market currently. Additionally, the source mentioned that they would manage less than 7,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide this month, a 3,000 tonnes decrease compared with July, and are holding no stocks at present.
