BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Sep 16 – Lomon Group announced the tenth price increase of titanium by RMB500/t (USD75/t) in domestic market and USD50/t on export market on 3 Sep as effective immediately
A source from Lomon reported to Asian Metal that the company released news of new prices of titanium dioxide on Tuesday afternoon, the tenth price increase this year so far. “Owing to the continuously tight supply and relatively active buying activity, together with the firming up production cost, we have decided to raise further the quotations accordingly,” said the source, revealing that Lomon has been under normal production with typical monthly output of about 25,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide in recent two months, holding light stock at present.
Additionally, as far as the source was concerned, mainstream prices of the rutile type titanium dixodie stand at RMB12,800-13,500/t (USD1,910-2,015/t) ex works in the local market now, an actual RMB300/t (USD45/t) increase compared with last month.
