China's first national standard on magnesium-lithium alloy to be implemented on September 1st

The national standard on Magnesium-Lithium Alloy Casting drafted and formulated by Xi’an Sifang Ultra-Light Material Co., Ltd. will start to be implemented on September 1st with the approval of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of People’s Republic of China, Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China. This is the first national standard about magnesium-alloy material in China, which indicates that China’s magnesium-lithium alloy material has taken a great step from research to industrialization and is of important significance in the development of magnesium-lithium alloy.
As the lightest material of metal structure, magnesium-lithium alloy material is of characters of ultralow density, ultrahigh ductility, good conductivity of heat and electricity, excellent electromagnetic shielding performance, outstanding noise reduction performance and others, represents cutting-edge technology of magnesium alloy industry and is called most environment-friendly metal material in future. It can be widely used in aviation, aerospace, weapons, military electronics, petrochemical, mechanical instrument, traffic, food & medical equipment, spot equipment, consumer electronics and other fields and is necessary new type of material for the upgrading of traditional industry and the development of high-grade, high-precision and advanced technology in future.
