Huamei Special Meterials' 1,600t full hydraulic fast forging production line put into production

On July 21, the commissioning ceremony of the fast forging production line of high performance titanium alloy and wrought magnesium alloy products developed by Shaanxi Huamei Special Materials Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (“Huamei Special Materials” or the “Company”) was held in the Bawanghe Provincial Economic and Technological Development Zone in Mei county.
With total investment of RMB210 million, the high performance titanium alloy and wrought magnesium alloy products industrialization project (the “Project”) developed by Huamei Special Materials settled down in Baiwanghe Economic Development Zone in Mei county in September, 2016. The Project is one of the key construction projects of Baoji in 2017. The fast forging production line in phase I of the Project started to be constructed on November 21, 2016 and was put into operation on July 21, 2017.
A research and production base which integrates research, mass production with applications will be formed after the Project reaches the designed capacity. The production base, with integrated production line of material preparation-forming-surface protection, has an annual production capacity of 1,500t of titanium and magnesium alloys with an annual output value of more than RMB180 million. The Project can achieve profits and taxes of RMB20 million and offer around 60 jobs for local people.
It is learned that the “1,600t full hydraulic forging unit", core equipment for the fast forging production line in the phase I, is suitable for thermoforming of titanium alloys, high strength magnesium alloys, high temperature alloys and so on. The operation of the equipment can guarantee the steady and mass production of high performance titanium alloy, magnesium alloy forgings and other key materials used in the military industry.
