During the past ten years, South Korea’s magnesium raw materials imports culminated in 2013 and began to drop after 2014; it imported 14,400t in 2016, up by around 3% compared with 14,000t imported in 2015. Regarding magnesium alloy ingot used for producing accessories of electrical and electronic devices, it imported 7,631t in 2016, down by about 5% compared with 8,035t imported in 2015.
