BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Apr 18 - According to the latest statistics from Asian Metal, China produced 13,580t of tin ingot in March 2018, up by 21
During March, Chinese smelting plants gradually resumed normal production with the Spring Festival holiday coming to an end, leading to an increase in the output of tin ingot. In particular, the output in Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangxi and Hunan rose by 150%, 111 . 54%, 90 . 43% and 45 . 45% respectively, but that in Yunnan inched down by 2 . 26% . China-Tin Group's production returned to a normal level, thus tin ingot output in Guangxi moved up in March; smelting plants in Guangdong, Jiangxi and Hunan restarted regular production step by step in March with increased tin ingot output compared with that in February affected by the Spring Festival holiday; tight supply of the raw material led to output decrease in Yunnan in March.
In April, smelting plants resumed normal production. Although tight raw material supply influences smelting plants' operation to some extent, higher tin ingot prices will push miners to make sales . Moreover, new smelting plants conduct operation, which will ease the influence resulted from the declining operating rate of some smelting plants . It is expected that tin ingot output would remain basically stable in April.
