Gejiu Yunxin Nonferrous Electrolytic resumes tin ingot normal production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 13 Jul 18 - With an annual capacity of 6,000t of tin ingot, Gejiu Yunxin Nonferrous Electrolytic Co., Ltd. began to resume the normal production of the material last week, a source from the company told Asian Metal.
The source noted that they stopped primary smelting for one week influenced by local environmental inspections. "With the environmental department inspecting fume emission systems, almost all local smelters halted production for one week in mid-June," the source said, adding that they have resumed normal production last week and operate two electric furnaces now.
Owning three electric furnaces, the company only operates two of them after the Spring Festival. With total output of about 4,100t of tin ingot in 2017, the company produced about 2,200t of the material in the first half of 2018, including about 400t in June. It holds about 500t of stocks now with the output in July expected to keep stable at about 400t.
Mainly purchasing tin concentrate 40%min to produce Yunxiang tin ingot, the company continued to maintain the mode of purchasing tin ore and selling tin ingot recently. Its price of tin ingot was RMB143,500/t (USD21,537/t) on Thursday, up by RMB1,000/t (USD150/t) from Wednesday.
