Shanxi Pinda Magnesium initiates construction of Mg alloy project

It was reported that Shanxi Pinda Magnesium Co., Ltd. ("the Company") recently staged the opening ceremony for construction of its magnesium alloy project in Wanrong Magnesium Metal Industrial Park in Yuncheng, Shanxi. With a total investment of USD50 million, the project will be built in two phases and will mainly produce magnesium metal and magnesium alloy die-casting products.
According to the Company's plan, the phase one project will have an investment of USD20 million, and when it goes into operation as expected in the latter half of 2018, it will have an annual production capacity of 16,000t of magnesium metal and magnesium alloy; and the phase two project will have an investment of USD30 million and will mainly produce Mg alloy die-casting parts and accessories used in laptops and mobile phones.
