Xining city to build Al-Mg alloy new material industrial park

Xining city, capital of Qinghai province and also a traditional production base for primary aluminum, plans to build a nationally advanced Al-Mg Alloy New Material Industrial Park ("Al-Mg Industrial Park") within its Datong Beichuan Industrial Park. Construction of the 25.47km2 Al-Mg Industrial Park has already commenced.
The Al-Mg Industrial Park is expected to form a 800,000t primary aluminum production capacity and 1.78 million Al processing capacity by 2020, and to prioritize development of three industries including nonferrous metal deep processing, advanced manufacturing and modern service.
At present, main roads have been built in the Al-Mg Industrial Park and construction of other infrastructure is underway.
