AM Stats: Chinese magnesium alloy producers' magnesium ingot consumption down by 24.8% YOY in Apr

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 31 May 19 - Statistics from Asian Metal Database show that Chinese magnesium alloy producers consumed 8,530t of magnesium ingot in April 2019, down by 16.0% compared with 10,160t consumed last month and by 24.8% compared with 11,350t consumed in the same period of last year.
In April 2019, magnesium alloy producers in Shaanxi, Shanghai and Shanxi consumed 1,450t, 2,400t and 2,700t of magnesium ingot respectively, down by 12.1%, 6.3% and 33.3% MOM; and producers in Jiangsu and Zhejiang consumed 1,780t and 200t of magnesium ingot respectively, up by 1.7% and 33.3% MOM.
