Dongguan-based magnesium alloy plant catches fire

On September 25, a magnesium alloy plant located in Dongguan, Guangdong caught fire.
A preliminary investigation showed that the place where the accident happened was a one-floor temporary steel-structure workshop used mainly for producing magnesium alloy; the main inflaming material was half-made magnesium alloy scraps; the total construction area of the workshop was about 1,000 square meters and the burned area was about 600 square meters; no casualties or injuries were made. Further investigation was underway.
