CAAM said on July 20 that although the automobile market suffered huge losses from the impact of the COVID-19 in the first half of the year, the long-term stably better situation of the automobile industry has not changed. With the continuous efforts of the relevant measures of "six stabilities" and "six guarantees" in the second half of the year, the automobile market will be stably better.
According to the data of CAAM, in the first half of the year, the cumulative production and sales of domestic automobiles posted 10.112 million and 10.257 million units respectively, down 16.8% and 16.9% year-on-year. The loss of the automobile market caused by the impact of the epidemic has been made up to a certain extent. Although the total automobile production and sales are still showing negative growth, the overall production and sales situation of the automobile is obviously better than expected. The automobile market begins to recover, and the overall situation is getting better.
