Xinxiang Ecological Aluminum's phase I alumina project begins production

On June 9, Guangxi Longzhou Xinxiang Ecological Aluminum Co., Ltd. announced the start of phase one commercial production at its alumina project with an annual capacity of 1 million tonnes.
The project has a total designed capacity of 2Mpta of alumina, including 1Mpta for the phase one, with a 24-month construction period and total investment of RMB3.42 billion (USD531 million). The project will also adopt the company's own technology to extract gallium and iron (annual production of about 660,000 tonnes of iron ore fine and 800,000 tonnes of gallium) to increase product added-value so as to realize comprehensive utilization of resources.
After put into full production, the project is expected to generate annual production value of about RMB3 billion (USD465 million) as well as profit and tax of around RMB300 million (USD46.53 million).
