Hindalco reports higher alumina output in Q3 FY21-22

Hindalco's alumina production rose to 858,000t in the third quarter of the 2021-22 fiscal year ending 31 March. Output for April-December increased to 2.37 million tonnes from 2 million tonnes a year earlier.
Alumina sales during the latest quarter were 100,000t, the company said, adding it was planning to increase sales to 150,000t during the January-March quarter.
The company's aluminium sales rose by 3.2% from a year to 325,000t during October-December, while aluminium production increased by 3.8% to 327,000t. Hindalco's April-December aluminium production rose by 6% to 968,000t, with sales during the same period up by 5% to 966,000t.
