IAI: Global alumina output down by 0.46% YoY in Jan

Data released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI) showed that the global alumina output totaled 138 million tons in 2021, up by 3.76% from 133 million tons in 2020.
In January 2022, the global alumina output was about 11.57 million tons, down by 0.46% from about 11.62 million tons in the same period last year and 0.13% from about 11.58 million tons in December 2021.
In January 2022, China produced 6.25 million tons of alumina, up by 0.11% from the previous month while unchanged from the same period last year. In 2021, China produced a total of about 75.10 million tons of alumina.
