NBS: China's primary aluminum output down by 0.4% YoY in Q1

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China produced about 6.85 million tons of alumina in March 2022, up by 4.5% YoY. From January to March, China produced a total of about 18.62 million tons of alumina, down by 3.5% YoY.
China produced about 3.3 million tons of primary aluminum in March, up by 1.8% YoY, and it produced about 9.63 million tons of the material in the first three months of this year, down by 0.4% YoY.
The output of aluminum products in March was about 5.28 million tons, down by 3.6% YoY, and that in the first three months of this year totaled about 13.94 million tons, down by 0.5% YoY.
In March, China produced about 1.05 million tons of aluminum alloy, up by 14.8% YoY; and in the first three months of this year, China produced a total of about 2.56 million tons of the material, up by 11.3% YoY.
