Kazakhstan's refined copper output down by 0.4% YOY in Q1

Kazakhstan's refined copper output fell by 0.4% year-on-year to 122,542 tons in January-March 2022, according to the data from Kazakhstan's Statistics Office on Thursday. Kazakhstan produced 43,238 tons of refined copper in March, up by 11.8% month-on-month and 5.0% year-on-year.
Kazakhstan's refined zinc production declined by 5.4% year-on-year to 74,117 tons in January-March. Kazakhstan produced 24,611 tons of refined zinc in March, up by 3.7% month-on-month but down by 10.0% year-on-year.
The output of alumina and unwrought aluminum of Kazakhstan in January-March increased by 7.3% YOY to 405,488 tons. Kazakhstan produced 145,987 tons of alumina and unwrought aluminum in March, an increase of 12.3% compared with the previous month and 19.5% from the corresponding period last year.
