Chongqing Yudu Aluminum to build 3.2Mtpa alumina project

The environmental impact assessment for the special aluminum new materials circular economy industrial park project launched by Chongqing Yudu Aluminum Co., Ltd. was released in mid-June.
Highlights of the proposed project include two alumina production lines, each with capacity of 1.6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), for a combined capacity of 3.2Mtpa. The project will also build a 300,000tpa high-end aluminum-based new materials production line, two high-calcium active lime production lines with total capacity of 600,000tpa, a red mud recycling facility, as well as other associated facilities. The project will be developed in two stages.
