Shanghai Wantai to build 200,000tpy silicon-aluminum alloy and deep-processing project

Shanghai Wantai Aluminum Co., Ltd. announced on July 29, 2022 that the company signed a project cooperation agreement with Yanshan Government of Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan to build a 200,000tpy silicon-aluminum alloy and deep-processing project, with a total estimated investment of around 500 million yuan (74.15 million US dollars). The project will mainly target the new energy vehicle market, using primary aluminum to produce a variety of high-performance aluminum alloys in mid-to-high-end applications, including heat-free high-elongation aluminum alloy, high-yield high-elongation aluminum alloy, and high thermal conductivity aluminum alloy.
