CPCA: China's new energy passenger car retail sales rise by 117.3% YoY in Jul

Data released on August 9 by China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicated that, retail sales in passenger car market reached 1.818 million units in July 2022, up by 20.4% year-on-year while down by 6.5% month-on-month. And the retail sales in the first seven months of this year totaled 11.079 million units, decreasing by 3.5% or 410,000 units from previous year.
In July 2022, China's new energy passenger car retailed recorded 486,000 units, increased by 117.3% YoY while decreased by 8.5% MoM. From January to July, China's new energy passenger car retailed reached 2.733 million units, up by 121.5% YoY.
