WBMS: Global tin market records deficit of 6kt in Jan-Jun

Global tin market was in a deficit of 6,000t from January to June 2022, according to data released on Wednesday by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS).
In the first half of 2022, global production of refined tin decreased by 25,300t compared with the the same period of last year. Reported refined tin production reached 90,700t in China where apparent demand was down by 16% against the prior year period.
Global tin demand was 186,700t in the first half of 2022, down by 10.5% from the comparable period of 2021.
In June, global refined tin production reached 25,100t and consumption was 24,300t.
