China will extend the new energy vehicle (NEV) purchase tax exemption to the end of 2023, according a State Council executive meeting.
In the first seven months of 2022, the country's NEV purchase tax relief amounted to RMB40.68 billion (USD5.89 billion), a 108.5% increase from the comparable period of last year, including RMB7.17 billion (USD1.04 billion) in July, up by 119.1% year on year, according to data released by State Taxation Administration on August 31.
