WBMS: Global tin market sees supply shortage of 7,900 tons in Jan-Jul

The latest report data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) shows that the global tin market was in short supply by 7,900 tons in the period from January to July 2022.
In the first seven months of this year, global refined tin production fell by 39,300 tons year-on-year. During this period, China produced 87,800 tons, and Japan's apparent demand recorded 14,000 tons, down by 18% from the same period last year . Demand in China declined by 29% year-on-year.
From January to July 2022, global tin demand reached 201,200 tons, a decrease of 13.9% from the corresponding period last year . US apparent demand fell by 1 . 4% to 18,400 tons.
In July, global refined tin production reported 19,900 tons and the consumption posted 21,500 tons.
