CAAM: Auto sales in China up by 25.7% YOY in Sep

According to the latest data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in September 2022 auto production and sales in China were 2,672,000 and 2,610,000 vehicles respectively, respectively up by 11.5% and 9.5% MOM and up by 28.1% and 25.7% YOY. In the first nine months of this year, auto production and sales in China were 19.63 million vehicles and 19.47 million vehicles respectively, up by 7.4% and 4.4% respectively from one year ago.
In September, China's NEV sales were 708,000 vehicles, up by 93.9% YOY; from January to September, China's NEV sales totaled 4,567,000 vehicles, up by 110% YOY.
In September, China's auto manufacturers exported 301,000 vehicles, down by 2.6% MOM and up by 73.9% YOY; from January to September, China's auto manufacturers exported a total of 2,117,000 vehicles, up by 55.5% YOY.
