WBMS: Global tin market sees supply shortage of 8.5kt in Jan-Sep

From January to September 2022, the global tin market suffered a supply shortage of 8,500t, according to the latest data from World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) on Wednesday.
In the first nine months of 2022, the global refined tin output declined by 39,000t year on year and China's refined tin production recorded 116,100t.
During the given period, the global demand for tin reached 260,200t, a year-on-year decline of 11.2% . Meanwhile, the demand from the United States went down by 3 . 6% to 219,000t, that from Japan decreased by 16 . 4% to 18,200t and that from China decreased by 25% compared to the prior comparative period.
In September, the global tin output was 29,000t with the total consumption of 30,700t.
