CPCA: China's new energy passenger car retail sales up by 90% YoY in 2022

According to date released by China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on January 10, China's passenger car retail sales reached 640,000 units in December 2022, up by 35.1% YoY and 6.5% MoM. Throughout 2022, China's passenger car retail sales recorded about 5.67 million units, up by 90% YoY. In December, the wholesale sales of new energy passenger car reached 750,000 units, up by 48.9% YoY and 2.5% MoM; From January to December, the wholesale sales of new energy passenger car recorded about 6.5 million units, up by 96.3% YoY.
