NBS: China's primary aluminum output up by 4.5% YoY in 2022

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed that in December 2022, China produced about 6.52 million tons of alumina and 3.43 million tons of primary aluminum, up by 4.4% and 10.3% YoY respectively; while China produced about 5.62 million tons of aluminum products, and 1.05 million tons of aluminum alloy, down by 6.9% and 7.6% YoY respectively.
Throughout 2022, China produced about 81.86 million tons of alumina, 40.21 million tons of primary aluminum and 12.18 million tons of aluminum alloy, up by 5.6%, 4.5% and 13.9% YoY respectively; while the output of aluminum products totaled about 62.22 million tons, down by 1.4% YoY.
