Hunan Huaxin to commence antimony-oxide powder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - Hunan Huaxin Precious Technology Co., Ltd., located in Chenzhou, Hunan and mainly producing lead ingot with bismuth ingot and antimony oxide as by-products, plans to begin antimony-oxide powder production in late April or early May, a source from the company said.
The source revealed, "Our company focuses upon lead ingot production from raw material lead ores associated with antimony metal, which is able to be recovered and produce antimony oxide. We have not begun antimony-oxide powder production yet and expect to do so in late April or early May. The product is expected to contain over 60% of antimony trioxide with the whiteness unknown yet." The source expects to have a monthly output of around 300t when going into production, but this depends up raw material conditions.
With a designated production capacity of 5,000t of antimony-oxide powder, the company expects to produce 200-300t in May.
Currently, mainstream prices for antimony trioxide 99.5%min stand at RMB70,000-71,000/t (USD10,177-10,322/t) delivered D/A 30 days, unchanged from late last week. Given stable raw material prices, antimony trioxide supplies keep their offers firm. Insiders believe that Chinese antimony trioxide 99.5%min prices would stay unchanged in the coming week.
