Airbus inks deal for 160 aircrafts from China

On April 6, Airbus signed an agreement with China Aviation Supplies Holding Co. to offer 160 Airbus commercial aircrafts. Airbus believed that in the coming twenty years, China's air traffic would grow at an average annual rate of 5.3%, significantly higher than the world average traffic growth rate of 3.6%. Moreover, China is expected to demand 8,420 commercial and cargo aircrafts from now to 2041, which would account for more than 20% of the global total demand.
Meanwhile, Airbus signed contracts with Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Investment Co., Ltd. and Aviation Industry Corporation of China to build the second production line in Tianjin.
