CPCA: China's passenger car retail sales record 1.6 million units in Mar

According to the preliminary statistics of China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), China's passenger car market witnessed retail sales of about 1.6 million units in March, unchanged from the same period last year while up by 17% from the previous month. Passenger car retail sales totaled about 4.28 million units so far this year, down by 13% YoY.
According to the preliminary statistics, retail sales of new energy vehicle (NEV) recorded 549,000 units, up by 5% YoY and 27% MoM. Since the beginning of this year, the cumulative retail sales of NEV totaled about 1.32 million units, up by 15% YoY.
