BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Apr 23 - Supported by the firm price of raw material in China, some Chinese antimony trioxide exporters slightly raised offers, and the export market saw a small increase in enquiries from overseas buyers, with deals to be followed up
An exporter in South China said, "We now offer USD10,700/t FOB China for antimony trioxide 99.5%min and we sold 20t at USD10,700/t just yesterday, up by roughly USD100/t from last week when we exported 20t of the material" . The supplier added that the raw material suppliers prefer to hold back from selling after Asian Metal successfully held the 9th Antimony Forum, and prices for antimony ingot 99.85%min are expected to rise to RMB82,000/t (USD11,930/t) at least this week, while some suppliers could accept RMB81,000/t (USD11,784/t) one week ago . Meanwhile, the supply of antimony ingot remains tight on the whole and it is relatively difficult to source the material from the spot market. The exporter added that there are more enquiries from overseas buyers but some consumers remain cautious about purchasing at prices higher than USD10,700/t .
