Mg-alloy lightweight auto parts project with RMB3 billion investment to be built in Chengdu

Recently, a Mg-alloy lightweight auto parts and integrated smart auto-chassis research and manufacturing base project was contracted with Jianzhou Xincheng Economic and Industrial Park. The project is co-invested by Sichuan Yongjing Investment Group and Gauss Energy Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
With a total planned investment of RMB3 billion (USD0.43 billion), the project will consist of three phases. In detail, phase one with a planned land area of around 5.25 Mu (0.35 hectares) will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 units of auto parts including auto steering knuckle, battery casing, subframe, etc.; phase two will have an annual production capacity of 1.8 million units of auto parts including Mg-alloy battery casing, fuel tank holding, etc.; and phase three will have annual production capacities of 100,000 units of Mg-ally smart auto-chassis and 100,000 pieces of auto-grade composite chip.
