CFA: China's Al-Mg alloy casting output up by 4.9% YoY in 2022

According to data released by China Foundry Association (CFA) on May 10, in 2022 China produced 51.70 million tons of varieties of castings in total, down by 4.3% year on year. In particular, production of Al-Mg alloy castings recorded 7.55 million tons, up by 4.9% YoY. Growth in China's Al-Mg alloy casting output was mainly driven by rapid developments in the auto light-weight trend and in the new energy vehicle industry, with proportion up from 13.3% in 2021 to 14.6% of the total casting production.
