Yunhai Special Metals trial produces super large Mg-alloy automotive die castings

Super large magnesium alloy automotive die castings, jointly developed by Chongqing Millison Technologies Inc., National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys of Chongqing University, and Nanjing Yunhai Special Metals Co.,Ltd., have been produced from Millison's 8800T die casting system.
The projected area of these trial-produced super large die castings, including integrated automotive body casting and battery case cover, both exceeded 2.2 square meters. These two magnesium alloy die castings are 32% lighter than aluminum alloy castings, with a huge potential for lightweight application.
