North Copper to acquire 100% stake in Houma North Copper

North Copper plans to acquire 100% equity interest of Houma North Copper Co., Ltd. held by ZTS Non-ferrous Metals Group for consideration of RMB339 million (USD47.27 million). North Copper said the acquisition will help to settle the issue of competition between Northern Copper and ZTS Group in the copper smelting sector and to further boost cathode copper production at Northern Copper.
The main project developed by Houma North Copper is currently under construction and is expected to begin trail production in October 2023.
