China's H1 alumina production up by 1.5% YoY

In June 2023, China produced 7.09 million tonnes of alumina, down by 2.3% YoY, 3.46 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 2.9% YoY, 6.03 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 13.0% YoY, and 1.27 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 17.8% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first half of the year, alumina production totaled 40.60 million tonnes, up by 1.5% from a year ago; primary aluminum production was 20.16 million tonnes, up by 3.4% YoY; aluminum products output totaled 31.88 million tonnes, up by 10.2% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 20.4% YoY to 6.86 million tonnes.
